Every article on this site is written and reviewed in house. We do not publish sponsored posts, and no vendor, card issuer or lender can buy placement, a ranking position or a favorable description on this site.
How we evaluate vendors and cards
Business credit is full of lists that were copied from other lists. Ours are built against a fixed set of questions, and a vendor stays on a list only while the answers hold.
- Which business bureau the account reports to, if any.
- The entry requirements: time in business, deposit or prepay, personal guarantee.
- How long reporting typically takes to appear after the first purchase.
- Which tier the account belongs to, so it is recommended at the right stage and not before.
Vendor programs change without notice. When we cannot confirm something, we say so instead of filling the gap with a guess, and we ask readers to verify current terms with the vendor before opening an account.
What we will not publish
- Guaranteed approvals, guaranteed funding amounts or promised score movement.
- Income claims or earnings examples of any kind.
- Invented testimonials, invented case studies or statistics we cannot source.
- Methods that misrepresent an entity, its age or its revenue to a vendor or a lender.
How we make money
Two ways, and both are disclosed. Some links to third party services are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up through them at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are labeled where they appear, and a link is never placed because of what it pays.
We also plan to sell our own subscription product, the Business Credit Command Center, directly from this site. That product is in development and is not open for purchase yet.
